When you follow in the forum these last days, several users claiming spam sent from Prestashop Some thinking a problem with best friend module or other. Also myself was affected massively by this problem. By doing some analysis I recognized that the problem is the contact-form of Prestashop. Bad bots are sending spam directly using this known tpl. The hint to this was two shops I'm administrating, which don't have the module contact us installed and also no link to the contact form. Also these shops had the modules send to a friend or any other module mail sending possibility disabled.

If I analyse the source of the mail, I found also very strange that spam are sent from myself to myself (as mail-address) and also as route.

Please check all possibilities of mail send via contact-form and the possibility to by knowing the name of the file sending mass spam by this way. As I said, two shops without any possibility of communication where sending spam as well, so with known template name.

BTW my server is locked for the direct access to files, so by typing a name. So the bots found another possibility to hack the contact-form. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROPOSED SOLUTION: I suggest that Prestashop uses INVISIBLE captcha solution on their forms. This solution has a quote of 98% effort against spammers/hackers/bad bots. The other 2% of possibilities should be blocked by server with ip-tables or other solution.

Hello, My goal is to add jotform so it collects emails and names from the first time visitors on my website: www.angrozenda.ro (i want it to show pop-up, 1 time -per user-cookie) I am using prestashop. So I have managed to add the form to my test webpage: Had to delete a module -home slider- so it would work without conflicts, -needed to edit the home-text-editor so i can include html and other languages in the editor -removed hook from this module so it would show only on the home-page (else it was showing on every page) But the problem is that it would not remember the cookie, it shows on my home page every time, to every user. Need support asap - trying to fix this for 2 days already.
