I haven't tried updating the firmware, but I haven't gotten around to registering on the olevia site to see if there are any firmware updates anyway. So when I went home and tried it, it installed fine and low and behold, it WORKS!! It's printed in the back of your TV to download the correct firmware for it.

Try setting it to 720p. Cm 03 04 original database. I just bought the same TV and have the exact same problem, the HDMI port just doesn't work with the xbox360. Component works fine though. I'd assume theres just some compatibility issue with the 360s and it, I tried using a premium 360 with an hdmi that a friend had and his wouldn't work either. This was with the elite's included hdmi cable, I don't think that would matter though. 480p 720p 1080i made no difference setting on the elite.
